Charlie Le Mindu's window at Selfridges

Alex Noble's Selfridges window display
Selfridges has launched a fresh initiative called ‘Bright Young Things,’ handing over creative reigns of its iconic Oxford Street windows to up and coming fashion designers and artists to decorate with their own label’s vision for 2011.
The windows look incredible and if you’re around the area, they’re definitely worth popping down to see.
Charlie Le Mindu’s window display, the designer who recently won OnOff’s Visionary Award, is pictured (top). For more info on Charlie le Mindu, see FashionBite’s post ‘Charlie Le Mindu Wins Visionary Award for LFW.’ Alongside Alex Noble (second pic), who’s best known for styling Lady Gaga.
About ten designers and artists are currently showcasing in Selfridge’s London windows and on February 4th ten more will launch. The iniative will run until the end of February.
Other designers displaying their work include OnOff designer Yang Du, Simone Rocha (daughter of John) and Shao Yen…amongst others!
The 20 designers will also feature in pop-up shops in store.
I absolutely adore selfridges and this latest initiative is just another example of the department store’s innovative vision and fabulously creative approach to fashion…if only I could afford everything in there!
