Last night, Haagen Dazs’ luxury boutique space opened in London with face Cat Deeley and designer Matthew Williamson on hand to sip champagne and chat to the media. The boudoir officially opens tomorrow and FashionBite is hosting the first of a series of styling sessions to kick-start the two week event, which will also include sessions from Cat Deeley, Matthew Williamson and Grace Woodward…
I’ve just returned from a week’s holiday in Tuscany, which was a lovely mix of beach relaxation (we stayed in the mountains just up from the coastal town of Viareggio for 5 nights), and then the last few days in Florence for a mini city break. But one thing is for sure…in the style stakes, Italians don’t do things by halves!

I was interviewed for a story (written from the boyfriend’s point of view) about what it’s like having a partner working in fashion. I’m not quite sure I agree with everything he said..my Pat Butcher coat..ha ha!?! But it was fun to do and great to get FashionBite featured in a national magazine.

How did VC come up with the guide?
Vouchercodes said: “We take pride in the fact that our list is different to many of the other blog round-up lists out there as we’ve put a bit of a unique spin on it. To create a definitive list we designed a bespoke algorithm that looked at the listed blogs within each category and subsequently assigned them with a determining final rank – Influencer Score.
“The Influencer Score charts the reach of each blog, mapping a series of key factors to define their influence online. Determinants include the popularity of each blog looking at the average number of visitors that the blog has received in the last three months as well as considerations of a blog’s influence across the web, such as the quantity and quality of sources that have referenced or linked to that particular blog. The Influencer Score is an index of 0 – 100.”

I like the design- it’s simple, clean and unfussy. The content is somewhat ecelectic, but the style is dry and witty. In the fashion pages- music producer Mark Ronson is ridiculed for his receding hairline in the Gucci campaign pics, the calibre of Chanel’s latest ‘face’ Lily Allen is called into question and Scarlett Johansson is called a ‘dirty blonde.’

When better to launch a fashion/beauty blog than at the start of one of the most hotly anticipated London Fashion Week’s EVER!! It’s LFW’s 25th anniversary and with big name designers like Matthew Williamson and Vivien Westwood headlining the event, the buzz in London is electric. I’ll be blogging live from LFW throughout the next 5 days, really focusing on some of the new up and coming design talent from On Off- which produces all Off schedule catwalk shows/exhibitions. LFW’s also at Somerset house in London, for the first time this season, so fashionbite will be sure to keep you posted with all the gossip and pictures from the event!! See you soon!!
