FashionBite was lucky enough to attend the fabulous Tiffany Skate launch at Somerset House on Monday night; alongside the likes of Pippa Middleton, Dame Judi Dench, Julien MacDonald, Kelly Hoppen and a spattering of Harry Potter stars. FashionBite attended the press preview of the Design Museum’s new exhibition ‘The Way We Live Now,’ which celebrates the work and achievements of Sir Terence Conran.
I was absolutely amazed at how much he actually changed the living/eating patterns and social behaviour of the post-war generation; through his various businesses including founding interiors consultancy Conran Design Group, high street furniture chain Habitat and opening restaurants such as Quaglino’s and Le Pont de la Tour.
I headed to the Wedgwood Museum in Stoke-on-Trent with the Jasper Conran team last week to tour the fantastic more than 200 year-old Wedgwood empire, the working Wedgwood factory and have a browse (and the odd purchase or 3) from the fab factory shop! Read more

Over the last few months or so I’ve been pre-occupied (ok, totally immersed) in house hunting for a place in London. We’ve gone through some highs (and lows) but finally found a perfect place in the Crofton Park end of Brockley, South East London.
It did take quite a while to get to this point though and we had a place to sell first, so here’s our journey (with a few tips on the way!)…
Apologies about the lack of posts over the last week..it’s been a crazy time. First off, I had my cousin’s wedding up in Doncaster, which was beautiful and the weather was absolutely glorious (thank goodness!). I wore a peach Ghost dress with black belt, striped Ted Baker chain bag and chunky, black Aldo platforms.
Absolut has released a new limited edition vodka ‘Absolut Mode Edition,’ inspired by the world of fashion. A new campaign called ’Reflections of Fashion,’ shot by New York photographer Sharif Hamza, has been launched alongside it.

I haven’t written on FashionBite for a few days as living in London (and like all Londoners) I have been totally immersed in the absolutely devastating riots, which have sadly now spread across the country. I am so shocked, angered and appalled that a small section of society could do this to their own communities. This is my story…
