I find myself constantly playing catch-up at the moment – juggling work commitments/events/friend’s hen do’s/birthdays/weddings/some kind of downtime with the boyfriend/exercise (ok, that’s totally fallen by the way side!) and everything else that seems to be pulling me in all directions.
I’m finding it almost impossible to carve out a spare half hour for myself…I’ve carted my Bikram yoga bag to and from work for the last two weeks and never once made it to the class!
So, the prospect of heading off to the Ajala Spa – in the 5* St.Paul’s Grange hotel – for two and half hours of total relaxation was absolute bliss! Read more

This week I’m heading off to Paris and Switzerland, filming for a luxury website. As I’ll be interviewing on camera, I’ve been through a selection of rituals over the last week or so in preparation….
Stella McCartney has just launched her second fragrance, L.I.L.Y. The name, an acronym inspired by her father Paul McCartney saying “Linda, I love you,” is also the name of her mother’s favourite flower Lily of the Valley.
I really like the scent - with its refreshingly floral fragrance (not sickly sweet, as some floral fragrances can be!) - it’s a perfect one for spring time. Read more

Last year, I attended the opening party of the new EF Medispa in St. John’s Wood, London. The beautiful spa is located on the pretty St. John’s Wood high street and offers a range of holistic “body perfection and weight-loss” treatments, which EF Medispa is known for.
At the launch party, we were able to try out some sample treatments and I opted for ‘Soft Wave Healing Laser.’ I’m a big fan of a natural and holistic therapy and not being too familiar with this particular treatment, I thought I’d give it a go.
I loved the feeling of calm and relaxation I felt just after the sample trial, but in just half an hour I wasn’t able to do the treatment full justice. So, as the miserable January blues set in, I headed back over to St.John’s Wood to sample the full 90 minutes… Read more

Design duo Viktor & Rolf held their launch party for new men’s fragrance Spicebomb last week, which kicked off with a real bang!
Thinking we were going to an ordinary launch party event; we headed to the Charlotte Street hotel, sipped on champagne and caught up with fellow bloggers and journos.
However, we weren’t to stay indoors for long and half an hour into the evening we were told to don our warmest faux furs and totter along the cobbled back streets of Tottenham Court Road to an industrial, multi-story carpark where we were chaperoned by two exquisitely dressed men into a large car lift…so far, so confusing! I went on a visit to the lovely Melvita store recently, tucked away off London’s Covent Garden in St. Martin’s Courtyard. The French brand is fairly new to the UK, the shop in Covent Garden has been around for just over a year, but it’s a fantastic concept and like no other store – it has a ‘Living Wall’ of greenery inside the shop and a honey-producing beehive on the roof (yes, you read that right!) I’m a big fan of essential oils, but particularly when it comes to bathing…and no one quite does it like Aromatherapy Associates. I set aside an evening this week totally to myself (after all this festive partying and drinking I felt like I needed it!), and gave myself a complete aromatherapy overhaul. Read more
