LFW: Kyrstof Strozyna SS13 (One To Watch!)
The elegance of Krystoff Strozyna was embodied the instant the first look strutted down the catwalk: a conservative cut with gathered detailing to accentuate the waist and bust. What is most beautiful about this designer is he manages to combine classic silhouettes and cuts with modern prints and fabrications to create a real sense of opulence. His vision is not dated, rather timeless and beautiful in its execution, and today was no different.
The merging of the beautiful print by use of colour and cut was genius, the models glided down the runway looking as though they would never age – quite like the designs.
Another beautiful detail was the detachable collars, a design feature which most would overlook, but the use of these beautifully crafted accessories really completed the look, and made for an interesting detail on the catwalk.
The use of luxurious fabrics was evident, the movement was key in each piece. Everything was so relaxed and airy, almost as if the models were walking on air – this made for a very relaxing runway, and in turn made the collection look effortless in its execution. Definitely one of the strongest on the day at Vauxhall Fashion Scout, I am very impressed and eager to see what’s in store for this talented designer.
