Last week, Burberry launched its AW 2012 beauty campaign unveiling British model Edie Campbell as the new face.
Edie joins fellow British beauties Cara Delavigne and Jourdan Dunn to front the latest classically elegant collection from the iconic brand.
In stark contrast to some of the bold looks and bright colours dominating the beauty scene this season, Burberry’s Autumn/Winter collection focuses on much softer, neutral shades. Christopher Bailey, chief creative officer for Burberry, explained that to show off the collection he wanted models who “embody the natural elegance of Burberry Beauty” making Campbell a perfect addition.
The look was shot by Mario Testino (who previously worked with Campbell while she was still at school for a Vogue feature on up and coming young Londoners)
As is to be expected from Burberry, the campaign is effortlessly cool and sultry, with the three girls looking fresh-faced and smoky eyed with nude lips, each in a coveted Burberry Mac of course. The look was created using Burberry Beauty’s Sheer Eye Shadows in shades like Midnight Brown, Almond Burberry Light Glow in Earthy Blush and Misty Blush and Burberry Lip Cover in Romantic Rose and Lip mist in Copper.
Despite the questionable weather, we at FashionBite are still holding out for a bit of sun this summer, but thanks to Burberry, autumn is certainly beginning to look a bit more appealing.
