London Fashion Week Day 2 – Jasper Conran & Temperley London
Day 2 of London Fashion Week was an early rise for me! I was up at 5.30am to get to Somerset House for 7am and prepare for the Jasper Conran show, which was due to kick-off at 11am.
I work with the Jasper Conran digital team (managing the blog/Twitter/social media) and was backstage all morning interviewing people such as make-up artist Val Garland, hair stylist Peter Gray, models and then guests post-show. Check out the Jasper Conran Tumblr page for all the backstage pics.

Highlights on day 2 included Jasper Conran and also Temperley London, which both showcased stunningly elegant collections with a Couture feel.
Jasper Conran showcased luxuriously soft tailoring in a palette of tan, cocoa, silver and black; alongside stunningly beautiful embellishment and embroidery (which took weeks to complete). I loved the floor length black gown and scoop neck dresses, alongside the dazzling sequin detailing on bodices. I chatted to stylist Grace Woodward before (pictured right), it was her first time at a Jasper Conran show and she was really looking forward to it. She sat front row next to fashion journalist Hilary Alexander (pictured left).
I also watched Temperley London on LFW TV and the collection was absolutely beautiful – a “celebration of opulence” according to the label, with the final dresses perfect for red carpet style. Certain pieces almost had a 1920’s/regal feel to them with stunning embellishment and rich embroidery detailing.
Keep posted for more highlights soon!
