COAT LUST – FashionBite’s Top Five Coats For Autumn!
So the random few days of heatwave-style weather are now over and it definitely feels like autumn!! As I dusted of my faux furs and military style coats from last year, I started to think about what kind of coat to invest in this season. You can keep an outfit simple, but really make a statement with bold accessories and a stunning coat! Here are my top five picks for autumn/winter 11…
My-Wardobe.com, Moschino Cheap & Chic, £693
With a swinging sixties vibe to it this rich, scarlet red coat is perfect for the autumn/winter ’60′s trend. I love the over-sized gold buttons and bow neck-tie, as well as the deeply intense red colour. You would really stand out in the crowd in this coat and its top of my coat lust-list! The style would work in mustard tones too.

Net-a-Porter, By Malene Birger, £410
By Malene Birger’s faux animal print coat will instantly give your wardrobe an AW update. The longer length is great for work and more formal weekend wear but the look would also work in a shorter style. There are some amazing faux furs around now, a million times better than what was available thirty years or so ago. There’s definitely no need to wear real fur, unless its vintage 1920′s of course, then there’s really nothing you can do!

Zara, Frock Coat With Cut Lapel, £119
I love the boyfriend styling of this black longer length Zara coat with cut lapels. It ticks the boy/girl trend for autumn/winter perfectly with its tuxedo-style look but is also very versatile – great for day to night wear. Team with skinny trousers and pumps for a more low key style.
ASOS, Blackheart Faux Fur Coat With Silk Lining, £160
This stunning faux fur purple coat is from fresh new label Blackheart, designed by Maria Agnes, and is available to buy at ASOS.com. With an over-sized collar and vast wrap around style, it looks so soft, gorgeous and inviting – I just want to snuggle up in it. This is a great coat to wear for a night out and will be sure to keep warm on the way home too!

Whistles, Alex Button Out Parka, £150
Last…but not least (the list could go on!)…is this super warm, light brown Parka coat from Whistles with faux fur detachable hood. The style also has a padded button out lining which can be removed for warmer weather. You can’t really go wrong with a good Parka, perfect for long walks on those crisp, autumnal afternoons!
