Driving Lessons at last!
Rather late in the game (but better late than never I suppose!), I’ve started having driving lessons. I’ve started learning with Red Driving School – recommended by a friend - and I have to say I’m loving it!
I’m learning with the lovely Rodger, who’s been involved in some form of driving-related job his whole life (from lorry to taxi) and his calm, relaxed approach is just what I need whilst stalling and cursing at a busy junction.
Red Driving School says it firmly believes that road safety education is paramount and it is committed to working with organisations, including the road safety charity Brake and young people – in particular between the ages of 17 and 24 – who are more likely to be involved in a road traffic crash than any other age group in the UK.
I always like to go on recommendations, my friend spoke highly of Red, and I have to say I’m really impressed.
Not only that, (as I’ve mentioned above) the driving school puts an emphasis on safety. Its team are always on the move, visiting towns and cities across the UK with a group of experts to discuss good driver attitudes, speeding and drink/drug driving.
Despite growing-up in a small market town in the Cotswolds, I’m having driving lessons in busy South-East London…maybe not the best idea! But actually, in terms of gaining experience on the roads and with all sorts of drivers - it’s brilliant.
Red has some great introductory offers and the office are really helpful in putting you in touch with the right instructor. For more info, see Reddrivingschool.com.
