‘Diary Of A Cannes Party Girl…’
In its 64th year, Cannes Film Festival 2011 lived up to its glamorous reputation – stunning Hollywood A-lister’s hit the red carpet, billionaire bosses relaxed on luxury yachts and guests partied the night away at some of the world’s hottest clubs. Blogger and photographer Natasha Turrell had a front row seat and she reports exclusively for FashionBite in ‘Diary Of A Cannes Party Girl…’
DAY 1 – Friday 13 May
After a very quick flight we arrived in Nice and were taken to an amazing villa in Monaco for our first night! After a brief change, we went straight into Cannes to the Carlton Hotel for drinks – the place was packed and absolutely buzzing with famous faces! We popped next door to Villa Romana for another drink, then headed to the club VIP to party! 
It was absolutely packed, glamorous gorgeous people everywhere and Duran Duran played live. Let me tell you, they’ve still got it – they rocked! We had a VIP table and the champagne flowed all night. There was an angel and devil theme for the night; circus acts on stage and a girl riding a horse around the club…anything goes in VIP!
Vanessa Hudgens from High School Musical was there, actor Owen Wilson, the legend that is Quincy Jones and Oscar Winner Jamie Foxx. I ended up drinking on Jamie’s table. He was so lovely and told me he was having a great time! We danced on the tables and partied until 6am. Jamie sang ‘Gold Digger’ live and it was utterly amazing. I had goose bumps and the crowd went mental!!
DAY 2 – Saturday 14 May
We moved to our second villa, which was gorgeous and just off the Croisette. Our chef cooked us a sumptuous breakfast and we headed off to party on the beachfront at the famous Nikki Beach. The sun was shining and the place was packed full of beautiful people, we partied our butts off and danced in the sand! As night fell, we went for dinner then headed back to VIP. Rapper Flo Rida was singing live and the place went off!!
DAY 3 – Sunday 15 May
We headed down to the marina and hopped on a beautiful yacht with some of the Virgin Film Crew. It was one of the most luxurious boats I’ve ever seen; the champagne flowed whilst we networked in the sun, sitting in the Jacuzzi on the top looking out over the harbour…all in a day’s work eh!
The ‘Pirates of the Caribbean Premiere’ was held today, the place had a great buzz. Everyone wanted a glimpse of the man himself, Johnny Depp, and of course the lovely Penelope Cruz who looked stunning!
We then headed to Nikki Beach to party again in the sand. Kanye West was there all afternoon, looking very chilled and happy to be there! In the evening we hosted a BBQ at our villa, partying there until the early hours.
DAY 4 – Monday 16 May
Today we went out for a wander to check out the premieres. ‘The Island’ was hosting a press conference down on the front and the cast were causing quite a stir. After that we headed to Nikki Beach for the afternoon. In the evening we went to VIP, it was the Chopard official after party and the place went off. Kanye West was there all night and LMFAO sang live and absolutely rocked the place!! O what a night!!!
DAY 5 – Tuesday 17 May
We popped down to the marina and had a few drinks on some friend’s yachts, before heading back to Palm Beach for beers and music in the sun. Then back to Nikki Beach for more drinks and dancing in the sand! And of course off to VIP for our last night to party one more time on our VIP table! Jean Roch featuring Flo Rida and Kate de Luna was live on stage, the atmosphere was electric!!
DAY 6 – Wednesday 18 May
Unfortunately, our time had ended and it was time to head back to reality (alongside Alex Reid who was randomly on our flight home!!) I’m absolutely shattered but had the time of my life! Until next year…
