Biba relaunches at House of Fraser: PICS OF THE COLLECTION

Iconic ’60′s fashion brand Biba is to relaunch at House of Fraser this week.

After famously closing in the mid ’70′s, the Biba brand resurfaced in 2006 and after re-jigging its design team was eventually bought out by House of Fraser last year.

Biba was the cutting-edge fashion brand of its day and its new creative team have turned to the archives for inspiration, with a modern twist.

Retro Styling

I loved the collection, fabulous standout pieces and perfect for all those Christmas parties! It had a 1920′s style feel to it with fur, feathers, sequins and a v.on-trend leopard print coat. I loved the graphic painterly prints on maxi dresses as well. Key silouettes looked to next season with the cape and shift dress.

Model Daisy Lowe has been unveiled as the new face of the brand. Sources tell me it is a match made in heaven as Daisy is a massive Biba fan and knows almost more about the brand than its new creative team.

The collection, which includes handbags and chunky costume jewellery, launches in selected House of Fraser stores September on 9.
