Louis Vuitton’s new autumn/winter ’10 campaign: FIRST LOOK
Marc Jacobs looks to ‘beautiful, ladylike clothes’ for inspiration for Louis Vuitton’s autumn/winter ’10 collection, in contrast to the very bohemian feel of spring/summer- inspired by the New Age traveler.
Marc, Louis Vuitton’s artistic director, says: “The strength of Louis Vuitton is its almost magical ability to reinvent itself every season.”
The new ad campaign, shot in a New York studio by Steven Meisel, brings together three decades of supermodels – Christy Turlington, Karen Elson and Natalia Vodianova.
The set resembles a glamorous movie star’s dressing room (complete with lights around the mirrors!) and shot in soft sepia tones. Models pose in bustiers, fifties knits and sweeping skirts, surrounded by stacks of opened shoe boxes.
The campaign will showcase in the August issues of magazines.
